What size New Era 59FIFTY should you order?

Fitted caps are sized by the circumference of your head, measured with a soft tape about 2 cm above the eyebrows and just above the ears — where the cap's band sits. Convert that to a fitted size with the chart below, which uses the standard formula (size = circumference in inches ÷ π):

Fitted caps don't stretch much, and a band that's too tight is uncomfortable within an hour. If you're on a boundary, go up — a thin sizing strip inside the band fixes a slightly loose cap; nothing fixes a tight one. Verdict: Measure your head in centimetres, divide by 7.98 (that's 2.54 × π), and round to the nearest eighth.

Fitted, snapback, dad cap or beanie?

Not every cap on a Sugargoo sheet is fitted. Knowing which kind a listing is saves a wrong order:

Listings don't always say which they are. Zoom into the back of the cap in the listing photos: a solid back panel means fitted, a strap or clip means adjustable.

What to look for in QC photos of a cap

Caps are simple objects, which makes small faults easy to spot in Sugargoo's QC photos if you know where to look:

• Embroidery. Front logos should be dense, with no loose threads or gaps where the thread changes colour. Side and back embroidery on fitted caps is often smaller and shows problems first.
• Crown shape. Structured caps should stand up on their own in the photo; a collapsed front panel usually means the buckram lining is thin.
• Brim. Flat brims should be flat, curved ones evenly curved. On 59FIFTY-style caps, the sticker on the brim is part of the look for many buyers — say in the remark if you want it left on.
• Sweatband and size tag. The inside band should be stitched evenly; the size tag or sticker confirms you got the size you picked.

If one of these isn't visible in the standard photos, ask for it before you approve. An exchange with the seller is only realistic in the first few days after the cap reaches the warehouse.

Getting a cap through Sugargoo in shape

Caps are light but their crowns crush. Two small requests in the order or parcel remark avoid most problems:

• "Please pack the cap with its shape kept" — stuffed with paper, not flattened under heavier items.
• "Photograph the inside size sticker" — on a fitted cap, this confirms the size before it ships.
