Which Sugargoo line suits a German parcel?

DHL handles the last leg on most of these, which suits German addresses: parcels can be redirected to a Packstation or a DHL shop. The actual-weight lines are worth choosing for dense parcels — boxed trainers without their boxes, jeans, belts — where volumetric weight would otherwise set the price.

Verdict: For clothing, start with DHL Tax Free. For electronics, use the IOSS line that accepts them. For small, dense parcels, try the actual-weight options.

How the EU's €3 duty adds up

The Council of the EU agreed in December 2025 to charge customs duty on small parcels from July 1, 2026: a flat €3 for each category of goods in a parcel worth under €150. VAT still applies on top — in Germany, 19% on goods, freight and duty together.

Adding a third kind of goods to the same parcel adds €3 plus VAT on it. Crossing €150 in goods takes the parcel out of the flat rule altogether, and ordinary duty rates by product apply.

Getting it delivered in Berlin

Most Sugargoo lines to Germany end with DHL, so the usual German options work: choose a Packstation as the address if you're rarely home, or let DHL leave the parcel at a nearby shop. Put your name exactly as on the Packstation account, with the Postnummer, or the parcel may be refused.

On a tax-included line nothing should be due at the door. If you get a message asking for customs payment by link, go to DHL's site or app yourself rather than following it. Track the parcel in Sugargoo under My Parcel → Check Logistics until the DHL number takes over.

Keeping a German haul cheap

Plan parcels around categories as much as weight. Group similar items — a parcel of hoodies and tees is one or two categories; add shoes, a bag and a watch and it's five. Remove shoe boxes, ask about vacuum packing for bulky knitwear, and use the rehearsal (¥18) to see the real and volumetric weight before choosing a line. Items stay free for 100 days in Sugargoo's warehouse, so there's time to sort a haul into sensible parcels. EU shoe sizes on Weidian listings need no conversion, but clothing labels do; the size chart reads them.
