Which Sugargoo line should a US parcel use?

The clothing lines are cheaper because they're restricted. A single pair of trainers in the box can push the whole parcel onto a dearer line, so many New York buyers send two parcels: one of clothes on the duty-free clothing line, one of shoes and accessories on US Tax-Free. What changed for US buyers when de minimis ended

For years a parcel worth under $800 entered the US without duty or formal entry. That stopped for goods from China and Hong Kong on May 2, 2025, and for every country on August 29, 2025. Now each parcel can be assessed for duty, and the rate on Chinese goods has shifted with tariff decisions several times since.

Second, declared values matter more than ever: declare honestly, because under-declaring risks seizure or fines and gains little on a line that already covers duty. Getting a Sugargoo parcel delivered in New York

US lines hand parcels to a domestic carrier for the last leg — FedEx on US Tax-Free, USPS or a regional courier on others. In New York the failures are rarely customs; they're buildings.

• Put the apartment number in the address line, not the notes. Carriers' systems often drop delivery notes.
• Add a US phone number. Couriers call or text when the buzzer doesn't work.
• Use a package room or locker if your building has one, and put its name in the address.
• Ignore texts asking you to pay "customs fees" by link. On a duty-handled line there shouldn't be any; if a carrier really needs payment, go to its site by typing the address.

Keeping a US haul affordable

Weight drives the freight.
